Daring 2 B Different mission is to empower, educate, and encourage the youth to be the best they can be. To embrace their differences and see them as their uniqueness. We are fighting to cease bullying in our homes, communities, schools, etc. Growing up in an environment where it seems as though no one looked like me, talked like me, think like me, I forced myself to be what everyone wanted me to be. Because there was no one like me, I felt as though something was wrong with me. I became a people pleaser, I neglect what I wanted to do, what I wanted to be, what I wanted to say because no one seemed to understand me. It took for me to have a brain injury for me to come to the realization that I am me, that there is nothing wrong with me, that I have a uniqueness about me that no one else have. All the time I was thinking something was wrong with me, but it was my uniqueness that cause no one to look, talk, walk, or be like me. I am now 33 years old and I just found this important identity of me at 30 years old. It is my goal that our youth will know they have a uniqueness and know how to embrace it. That they don't have to be like no one else, they can be the best version of themselves and make a difference in the lives of those they cross. So I am helping you to help us make a difference in their lives, help us to create a safe place for them to be themselves, and help us in our fight to cease bullying in every area.
